KBP members and officers deeply mourns mourn the passing of their colleague, Francis L. Cardona, a distinguished and one of the most beloved figures in the organization and the broadcast industry. Cardona passed away on April 28, 2024, at the age of 67 after being hospitalized for pneumonia.

 

Since he was first elected to the KBP Board of Trustees in 2010, he served in various capacities, including Executive Vice President and Vice President for Radio.

 

Cardona was a prominent figure in the broadcast industry, known for his dedication and passion for broadcasting. He worked his way up through the ranks - as a radio announcer, writer, producer, manager - eventually becoming President and CEO of the Radyo Pilipino network. He was the founder and host of the television show "Asenso Ka Pinoy."

 

Memorial services for Cardona will be held on May 1 at the Philam Homes Funeral Chapel in Quezon City. His remains will be brought to La Paz, Tarlac for interment the following day.
