The KBP’s Officers and Board of Trustees for 2024 held their first meeting last January 16, 2024’ They identified the association’s priorities for the year in addressing the problems and concerns confronting KBP members and the broadcasting industry. 

They agreed on focusing the efforts of the association on the following priorities:  speedier action by Congress on the renewal in Congress of expiring franchises of its members, intensifying the campaign against the operation of illegal broadcasting stations, better observance by its members of the KBP code of conduct and enhance trust in broadcasting, and create opportunities for increasing revenues of broadcasting stations to both in their free-to-air broadcasts and in their engagement with audiences on digital platforms. 

The officers of the KBP for 2024 are led by Noel Galvez as President and Ruperto S. Nicdao, Jr. as Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Galvez is the president of Vanguard Radio Network while Nicdao is the president of Manila Broadcasting Company. This is Galvez’s first term as KBP president.

The other officers and members of the Board of Trustees are Butch S. Canoy as Executive Vice-President, Herman Z. Basbaño of Bombo Radyo as Vice-Chairman, Atom L. Henares of Progressive Broadcasting as Vice-President for TV, Francis L. Cardona of Radio Corporation as Vice-President for Radio, Joselito G. Yabit of Primax Broadcasting as Secretary. Fr. Manuel S. Bongayan of Radio Veritas as Treasurer, and, as member of the Board of Trustees: Engr. Erwin Galang of Media Quest, Raul Alvarez of TV5, and Lorlyn G. Velarde of Global Satellite Technology Services, Inc.
