RESPONSIBLE BROADCASTING

KBP is committed to broadcasting that serves the public interest. It upholds high ethical and professional standards for its members in the content and presentation of their programs and in their business practices.

BROADCAST CODE

The KBP Broadcast Code is a set of professional and ethical standards for broadcasting that guides broadcasters in exercising sound judgment in the performance of their public duty. Members are accountable to the KBP Standards Authority for compliance with the Code.

ANNOUNCER'S ACCREDITATION

Announcers and other on-air personalities as well as personnel who regularly produce content for member stations are accredited by the KBP after their knowledge of broadcasting standards is assessed. 

PUBLIC SERVICE CAMPAIGNS

KBP works with its members in implementing public service campaigns that aim to raise awareness, educate, and inspire action on various issues that affect people’s lives.

DISASTER PREPAREDNESS

The KBP facilitates training to enhance the skills and knowledge of broadcasters in delivering timely and accurate information to help communities prepare for and respond to potential hazards, disasters, and emergencies. It has collaborated with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), and Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) to produce the Broadcasters’ Manual., a guide on how to effectively communicate warnings and advisories to the public during times of disasters and emergencies.
